Emergency Medical Disclaimer — Call 911
Rhino Medical Transportation provides strictly NON-EMERGENCY medical transportation (NEMT). We are not an ambulance, paramedic, or basic/advanced life support service. Our vehicles and drivers are not equipped to administer continuous intravenous medications, cardiac monitoring, or emergency resuscitation.
If you or a passenger is experiencing a medical emergency, chest pain, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, severe shortness of breath, or any life-threatening condition, call 911 immediately.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Passenger”, “Caregiver”, “Facility”, “Client”, or “you”) and Rhino Medical Transportation (“RMT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of our website (rmtservice.com), booking tools, dispatch communications, and physical transportation services throughout Omaha, Sarpy County, Lincoln, and surrounding Nebraska communities.
By scheduling a ride, requesting an estimate, submitting an inquiry, or boarding an RMT vehicle, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are booking on behalf of another individual, patient, or facility, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that individual or entity to these Terms.
2. Scope of Services
RMT provides pre-scheduled and on-demand non-emergency medical transportation across the following core service categories:
- Wheelchair Transportation: Fully ADA-compliant vans equipped with commercial hydraulic lifts, tie-down securement straps, and lap/shoulder safety belts.
- Ambulatory Transportation: Safe, comfortable curb-to-curb or door-through-door rides for passengers who can walk independently or with a cane/walker.
- Dialysis & Recurring Treatment Transport: Recurring weekly schedules for hemodialysis, chemotherapy, radiation, physical therapy, and wound care.
- Hospital Discharge & Post-Surgical Transport: Coordinated pickups from acute care, outpatient surgery, emergency room discharges, and rehabilitation centers.
- Nursing Home & Assisted Living Transfers: Inter-facility transfers, family gatherings, and recreational outings for senior community residents.
- Multi-Stop & Pharmacy Stops: Coordinated stops at pharmacies, labs, or imaging centers en route to or from medical appointments.
3. Booking, Scheduling & Lead Times
- Advance Notice: We strongly recommend booking rides at least 24 to 48 hours in advance to guarantee vehicle and driver availability. Same-day and urgent discharge requests are accommodated subject to fleet capacity.
- Booking Confirmation: A booking is finalized only when confirmed by RMT dispatch via SMS, email, or direct telephone confirmation.
- Accuracy of Information: The passenger or booking party is solely responsible for providing accurate pickup addresses, destination suite/building numbers, appointment times, mobility level, and passenger weight (for bariatric equipment selection).
- Pickup Ready Window: Passengers must be ready at the designated pickup location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. Drivers operate on strict appointment schedules for other medical riders.
4. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy
Because medical appointment schedules and vehicle routes are reserved specifically for each passenger, the following policy applies to all private-pay, facility, and contract bookings:
*Exceptions may be granted for verified hospital admissions, medical complications, or inclement weather at dispatch’s sole discretion.
5. Rates, Invoicing & Payment Terms
- Pricing Structure: Fares are calculated based on vehicle type (Sedan, Wheelchair Van, Stretcher), trip distance (loaded mileage), deadhead travel when outside core metro zones, wait time, and after-hours/weekend surcharges where applicable.
- Private-Pay Terms: Private-pay trips require a valid credit card on file or prepayment prior to dispatch. Invoices are due upon receipt or Net 7 days as indicated on the billing statement.
- Facility & Corporate Accounts: Contracted facilities, clinics, and health plans are billed monthly or bi-weekly under agreed Net 15 or Net 30 terms.
- Medicaid / Insurance Coverage: Prior authorization is the responsibility of the client, facility, or case manager unless RMT has agreed in writing to manage billing directly with your Medicaid managed care organization (MCO). Denied insurance claims remain the responsibility of the booking party.
- Wait Time Charges: For appointments requiring driver wait-and-return service, complimentary wait time is 15 minutes; subsequent time is billed at $15 per 15-minute increment.

8. Service Delays, Inclement Weather & Force Majeure
While RMT maintains exceptional on-time performance records, we cannot guarantee arrival times when affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather conditions common to Nebraska (blizzards, freezing rain, tornadoes, severe flooding)
- Unanticipated road closures, major traffic accidents, or infrastructure detours

- Pre-existing medical conditions aggravated during normal transit where vehicle operation was reasonable and prudent.
RMT maintains comprehensive commercial auto liability, general liability, and professional liability insurance in compliance with Nebraska Public Service Commission and DOT regulations.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Nebraska.
11. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written facility service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rhino Medical Transportation regarding our services.
